Kinder: Night Time Pumpkins
Kinder learned about Cezanne and Mashkov. Both artists enjoyed painting fruit and vegetables. Mashkov painted lots of pumpkins! We did a rather large drawing of a pumpkin as a step by step. Then, students were given yellow and red paint to mix their secondary color of orange. Later, students traced their original pumpkin contour lines with sharpie or black oil pastel and added highlights with white oil pastel. Students also added curly pumpkin vines, leaves and a starry night time sky.
